2 Hospitalized After Crash In Rolando ​Area Of San Diego

A man riding a motorcycle suffered a broken leg when a car turned in front of him in the Rolando neighborhood, authorities said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A man riding a motorcycle suffered a broken leg when a car turned in front of him in the Rolando neighborhood of San Diego, authorities said Monday.

The crash occurred at 9:05 p.m. Sunday at 70th and Mohawk streets, according to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.

The 36-year-old man was riding a 2017 Triumph motorcycle northbound on 70th Street when a 24-year-old woman driving a red 2017 Toyota Corolla southbound on the same street made a left turn onto Mohawk Street in front of him, Heims said. The motorcycle broadsided the car and the man was hospitalized with a fractured right femur.

A 62-year-old woman riding in the car complained of pain to her head and was taken to a hospital as a precaution, he said.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, Heims said.
