2 Rescued From Flooded San Diego River In San Diego
The victims were stuck on the south San Diego River bank, authorities said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Lifeguards rescued two people from the flooded San Diego River overnight Tuesday in San Diego.
Authorities received reports around 2 a.m. of two people stuck on the south San Diego River bank near 8865 Rio San Diego Drive, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
San Diego Fire-Rescue spokesperson Mónica Muñoz said lifeguard rescue teams accessed the victims using a rescue boat.

"The victims were transported to shore in the boat by lifeguards," Muñoz said. "Firefighters performed medical assessments. Neither patient was transported and crews cleared the scene."
Lifeguard swift-water rescue crews will remain in the field Tuesday, Muñoz said.
