3 Injured in Motorcycle Hit-And-Run In Gaslamp District

The driver ran from the crash, leaving behind his Harley, officials said.

SAN DIEGO, CA – Three individuals were injured in a hit-and-run motorcycle crash Friday evening in the Gaslamp District, and police are looking for the rider, according to authorities.

At about 7:15 p.m. on the 400 block of F Street, the driver of a 2014 Harley Davidson Road King was doing a wheelie when he lost control, and his passenger, a 32-year-old woman, fell off, the San Diego Police Department said.

The motorcycle then struck two pedestrians at the corner of F and 4th Avenue, and the rider fell off and fled the scene, leaving behind the motorcycle, police said.

One pedestrian, a 21-year-old man, suffered a fractured ankle and a laceration to the knee. The other person, a woman, 55, broke her right elbow.

Both were taken to a hospital, along with the female passenger for complaints of pain.

The San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating the case.
