400 Pounds Of Cocaine Found In Semi-Truck's Fuel Tanks At Border
Officers seized the drugs and tractor-trailer, while the driver was turned over to the custody of Homeland Security Investigations.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities found more than 400 pounds of cocaine concealed within a tractor-trailer's fuel tanks at the U.S.-Mexico border.
A man driving a commercial tractor-trailer and empty trailer entered the Otay Mesa Port of Entry around 9 p.m. Friday, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. CBP officers referred the 35-year-old driver, a border-crossing card holder, to the secondary inspection area, where a canine unit alerted officers to the fuel tanks.
Officers discovered 160 packages of cocaine hidden in a non-factory compartment inside both fuel tanks of the semi-truck, according to CBP. The packages weighed 412.26 pounds.
