San Diego Amber Alert: Toddler Found Safe, Father In Custody
A 2-year-old girl was found safe Tuesday after her father allegedly abducted her in San Diego's Chollas View neighborhood, police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 2-year-old girl was found safe Tuesday morning in Escondido and her father was in custody on suspicion of abducting her in San Diego's Chollas View neighborhood, police said.
Charli-Fae Harris had last been seen with Lafayette Harris, 31, around 5:30 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of 47th Street, according to San Diego police.
Authorities took Harris, 31, into custody around 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, according to Officer Billy Hernandez. It was not immediately clear where he was found.

Charli-Fae was later found unharmed, police said around 8:30 a.m.
Shortly before 5:20 a.m., officers found Harris' car unoccupied in a parking garage near Regents Road and Miramar Street in the University City area, Officer Scott Lockwood said.

It was not immediately clear how the girl ended up in Escondido. No other details were immediately available.
