Investigators said the 67-year-old woman was in the north crosswalk when a 25-year-old man driving a Toyota 4Runner eastbound on Reed Avenue turned north onto Mission Boulevard and struck her.

The woman was taken to a hospital with a fractured pelvis, police said.

Police said that driving under the influence was not a factor in the crash. Officers from the department's Traffic Division responded to the scene and were working to determine who was at fault.

Authorities asked anyone with information about the crash to call the department or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
