Balboa Park-Inspired Cocktails Arrive At TRUST Restaurant In SD

The San Diego eatery's bar manager used the park's gardens, theaters and zoo as inspiration to craft a collection of themed sips.

SAN DIEGO, CA — TRUST Restaurant, a San Diego eatery on Park Boulevard, is rolling out a cocktail collection that pays homage to its neighborhood treasure, Balboa Park.

The restaurant, helmed by chef Brad Wise, sits a few blocks away from the landmark park, a 1,200-acre oasis, home to gardens, museums, theaters, walking trails and the world-famous San Diego Zoo.

Taking inspiration from Balboa Park's lush flora, signature architecture and multi-faceted gathering spots, TRUST bar manager Jessica Stewart designed a themed-sip line-up.

The Balboa Park drink collection includes:

  • Reflection Pond (Japanese Vodka, Lemon, Persian Cucumber, Matcha, Soda);
  • House of Charm (spicy and tart with Reposado Tequila, Lime, Yuzu, Fresno Chilis, Lava Salt);
  • Florida Canyon (a light sip with Gin, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lavender, Maraschino);
  • Old Globe ( a classic featuring Rye Whiskey, Honey Thyme Gomme, Bitters);
  • Zoo Place (bitter and sweet with Mezcal, Bitter Bianco, Dry Vermouth, Hibiscus);
  • Friendship Garden ( savory twist on a whiskey sour with Maker's Mark, Lemon, Strawberry, Aperol, Toasted Sesame);
  • Palm Grove (tropical with Rum, Pineapple, Lime, Sage).

The cocktails are offered Wednesdays through Sundays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
