Border Fire 60 Percent Contained (PHOTOS)

Potrero, CA — The Border Fire is beginning to die down, an official said in an update about the blaze that has burning since Sunday in rural southeastern San Diego County.
Fire activity was minimal Friday on the front lines of the wildland blaze near Potrero, which was 7,609 acres and 60 percent contained Friday evening as 1,777 firefighters continued to construct containment lines, according to Cal Fire-San Diego Capt. Kendal Bortisser.
SDG&E continued to make repairs on many power lines downed in the fire and worked to replace damaged poles, he said.
