Breathe Degrees Opens Second San Diego Location Featuring World’s Largest Indoor Cold Plunge

Breathe Degrees, the San Diego wellness studio redefining how people breathe, recover and connect, has officially opened its second location. The 3,773-square-foot studio in Liberty Station brings the world’s largest indoor cold plunge, expansive sauna, guided breathwork and yoga to one of the city's beloved cultural districts.

Since opening its first location in 2021, Breathe Degrees has guided more than half a million people through experiences designed to regulate the nervous system and extend long-term health span. That community, forged through shared breathwork, cold plunges and moments of real transformation, is now growing with a second home in Liberty Station.

Breathe Degrees’ Liberty Station studio arrives at a time when the need for human connection has never been greater. According to the U.S. Surgeon General's 2023 Advisory on the Healing Effects of Social Connection, loneliness raises the risk of cardiovascular disease by 29% and is now recognized as a public health crisis. Breathe Degrees was built as a direct answer to that crisis, providing shared physical experiences and an intentional third space that encourages presence, builds trust and creates connection.

• The World’s Largest Indoor Cold Plunge — A 7-by-17-foot communal immersion experience that trains the mind as much as the body. Cold exposure triggers a powerful neurochemical response linked to elevated mood, sharper focus and lasting resilience.

• Stadium-Style Sauna — Radiant heat, intentional community and the kind of connection that only happens when phones are put away. The 14-by-14-foot sauna supports cardiovascular health, muscle recovery and longevity.

• Guided Breathwork — The studio's signature modality, which uses instructor-led breathing to reset the nervous system, expands lung capacity and deliver a state of clarity.

• Yoga — Breathwork-infused flows that emphasize mind-to-body connection and encourage presence in the moment.

• Aufguss Ceremony — A multisensory sauna ritual rooted in European tradition, combining essential oils, rhythmic towel choreography and waves of heat to deepen relaxation and cultivate full presence. The unique sessions are integrated into community events, social gatherings and the studio’s upcoming “Breathe After Dark” summer series.
