The Music Company

This summer, <a href="https://tmcmusic.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">The Music Company</a> (TMC) is teaming up with the <a href="https://www.pbartscenter.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Pacific Beach Arts Center </a>to host summer camps that teach and shape the future musicians of San Diego. Three week-long sessions, available for artists ages 12-18, are designed to teach the fundamentals of music production, audio engineering, and live performance. Students will be put into small groups where they will receive hands-on, personalized instruction from TMC’s team. This opportunity is a rare chance for campers to gain a competitive edge and experience at the start of their careers.

By the end of their sessions, students will understand how sound is captured, how to operate audio equipment and software, and how to shape a creative project from start to finish. Week-long sessions are $350 and can be purchased on the <a href="https://www.pbartscenter.org/events/summer-camps/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">PB Arts Center Website.</a> It's the perfect opportunity to form lasting connections with the creative community.

They’ll learn woodworking skills to create a fun interstellar project. Kids will explore painting planets and galaxies. And, kids will have fun creating with a variety of fiber arts techniques.

Learn to sew your own clothing! Monday through Friday Aug 3 – 7, from 1 – 4pm
Ages 13+years welcome! This class is designed for teens who want to learn machine sewing skills to explore making their own clothes. Instructor &amp; Sewist Hannah Gioutlos will guide students as they gain confidence using a sewing machine; practice essential techniques like seam finishes, hems, and zippers; and explore how to read and follow a garment pattern. Along the way, teens will work on beginner-friendly garment projects that build real sewing skills and result in wearable pieces. Whether you’re dreaming of making your own wardrobe, customizing thrift finds, or simply learning a valuable skill, this class will give your teen the tools and knowledge to get started. No prior sewing experience is required.
Note: If your child/teen will bring their own sewing machine, it is very important to make sure it is fully functional. You will need all the cords, the manual, the presser foot, at least 1 bobbin and the bobbin case. Spreckels Organ Pavilion

The Spreckels Organ Society presents the 38th Annual San Diego International Summer Organ Festival, the largest organ festival in the United States, featuring the historic Spreckels Organ, the largest open-air musical instrument in the world, with 5,098 pipes of up to 32-feet long, and nine percussion instruments located throughout the building.
This weeks featured concert is “Organ Four Hands &amp; Four Feet” with Sunkyung Noh &amp; Grant Smith.
The summer-long festival – directed by Raúl Prieto Ramírez, Spreckels Organ Society’s Artistic Director and San Diego’s Civic Organist – takes place in the heart of Balboa Park, from July 13 through Sept. 7. These 90-minute, free admission concerts by acclaimed international artists are brought to the Spreckels Organ Pavilion each Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. by the Spreckels Organ Society. The concerts are free thanks to the support of the Society’s sponsors, donors, members and volunteers.
This season, the Monday evening concerts feature artists from five different nations, making it a truly international festival. The variety of concerts is broad with something for everyone.
