- San Diego State University and SDSU's Imperial Beach campus were closed Monday. Classes were moved to virtual instruction, with most faculty and staff teleworking.
- Cal State San Marcos was closed Monday. Classes were canceled or moved to virtual formats.
- San Diego Community College District was closed Monday. All classes at San Diego City, Mesa, Miramar, and Continuing Education colleges were canceled.
- All Palomar College sites were closed Monday. Both onsite and online classes were canceled.
