The Count's Halloween Spooktacular Returns To Sesame Place San Diego
The Count's Halloween Spooktacular will feature a dance party, parade, show, scavenger hunts, trick-or-treating and more.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Kids can get an early start to trick-or-treating and other fall festivities at Sesame Place San Diego.
The Count's Halloween Spooktacular returns Saturday to Sesame Place San Diego, the only theme park on the West Coast based on the award-winning children's show. The family-friendly event will take place on Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 16 through Oct. 29.
The Count's Halloween Spooktacular will feature a Halloween-themed dance party, parade, show, trick-or-treating and more at the Chula Vista-based park. This year's festivities also include a new costume parade, scarecrow scavenger hunt, and treats with Count von Count.

Check out this year's lineup for The Count's Halloween Spooktacular:
- Halloween Costume Parade: Starting Sept. 30, kids and families can gather each day at Abby's Garden, where everyone can show off their Halloween costumes. Participants will receive a special gift.
- Sesame Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt: Pick up a free activity sheet in the Sesame Street Neighborhood and find all the scarecrows in the park. Guests can turn in their completed sheet to receive a prize.
- Halloween Treats with Count von Count: Guests can join Count von Count, as part of a paid upgrade, for a special treat, coloring and photo opportunities.
- Countdown to Halloween: Watch Count von Count as he leaves his castle in search of his friends. Families can enjoy this show multiple times each day at the Sesame Street Theater.
- Spot-The-Ghost Scavenger Hunt: Purchase a Spot-The-Ghost Scavenger Hunt map and find not-so-spooky ghosts throughout the park. Guests can turn in their completed sheet to receive a prize.
- Furry Friends Halloween Dance Party: Guests can dance, sing and monster mash along to their favorite Halloween tunes with Sesame Street characters.
- Pumpkin Patch Storytime: Join a Sesame Street friend for a Halloween storytime reading of "Pumpkin Patch Party."
- The Sesame Street Halloween Parade: This Halloween block party will feature floats decorated for the season, music and dancing.
- Halloween Costume Contest: Costume contests will take place on Oct. 28 and 29 with prizes awarded for the first-, second-, and third-place costumes in both the "Best Child" and "Best Family" categories.
- Sesame Street Character Photo Opportunities: Photo opportunities with Sesame Street characters in Halloween costumes will be available at Photos with Elmo & Friends and at Abby's Garden.
- Trick-or-Treat Stations: Trick-or-treat stations will be scattered throughout the park.
