SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego County's Investment Pool generated a record $591 million in net interest earnings during the last fiscal year, County Treasurer-Tax Collector Larry Cohen announced Thursday.
The pool earned an annual yield of 3.85%, an increase from 3.79% the previous fiscal year. The county's investment pool had a book value of $16.7 billion as of late June 2026.
"Setting a new record of $591 million in investment earnings is a tremendous accomplishment for San Diego County and the public agencies that entrust us with their funds," Cohen said. According to Cohen, the strong performance was driven in part by consistent returns throughout the year. During the fourth quarter, ending June 30, the pool earned $166 million in net interest earnings and achieved an annualized yield of 3.92%.
