Cubic Corporation Breaks Ground On Future Campus, Headquarters

SAN DIEGO – The Cubic Corp. held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday for its San Diego campus and corporate headquarters.

The new campus will include a pair of 125,000-square-foot, three-story buildings with modernized office and research and development infrastructure.

The project will involve demolishing one of Cubic's two current buildings to make room for the two new ones while also moving adjacent utility lines. The facility will include electric vehicle charging stations, a cluster of solar panels in the parking lot, a common area for employees and a cafe and fitness center.

Cubic, a publicly traded transportation and defense corporation, expects the project to be completed by the end of next year.

"Cubic has been headquartered in San Diego for six decades and we remain very proud of our heritage," said Chairman, President and CEO Bradley Feldmann. "Our culture is driven by innovation and a philosophy we refer to as One Cubic, which emphasizes collaboration across our businesses to share ideas, strategies and expertise."

Last year, Cubic selected real estate developer Cisterra Development to oversee the project's completion with the international architecture firm Ware Malcomb and the project's contractor, the Whiting-Turner Contracting Co.
