Elmo's Springtacular To Bring Blippi, Springtime Fun To Sesame Place

CHULA VISTA, CA — Spring has arrived at Sesame Place San Diego with Elmo's Springtacular.

The special springtime event will run on select dates from April 13 through May 19 at the Chula Vista-based theme park.

Elmo's Springtacular, which is included with park admission, will feature chalk art, a nature-themed scavenger hunt, and a special spring story time.

For the first time, character Blippi will also make special guest appearances May 4-5 at the park. Blippi, who will be played by a professional stage performer specifically trained for the experience, will meet families and perform in an interactive stage show at Sesame Street Theater.

There will also be meet and greets with Sesame Street characters. The park's water attractions will be open on select dates based on weather temperatures.

Sesame Place San Diego is the only theme park on the West Coast based entirely on the award-winning children's show. The 17-acre theme park features 18 Sesame Street-themed rides and water attractions, including a family-friendly rollercoaster and a 500,000-gallon wave pool, which is one of the largest in Southern California.

The Count's Splash Castle is the park's newest addition. The multilevel play structure features 111 play elements. The park also has an interactive Sesame Street neighborhood, live character shows, parade, musical play area and photo opportunities.

Sesame Place San Diego is located at 2052 Entertainment Circle in Chula Vista.
