Sesame Place Makes A Splash With All-New Count's Splash Castle

The theme park in Chula Vista held a grand opening ceremony for The Count's Splash Castle, Sesame Place's newest attraction.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Sesame Place San Diego made a splash Friday during the grand opening ceremony of The Count's Splash Castle, the theme park's newest attraction.

The all-new Count's Splash Castle is a multi-level water-play attraction that features 111 play elements, including three giant tipping buckets that dump more than 1,300 gallons of water combined, according to Sesame Place. The attraction replaces the former splash area and is double the size of the previous attraction that was in the space.

"There are plenty of ways to splash and spray and have fun within this interactive experience that was made for the entire family, especially the littlest of splashers we have here at the park," Jim Lake, president of Sesame Place San Diego, said during the ceremony, which included an appearance by Count von Count. "This all-new, multi-level interactive water attraction is the biggest splash castle in San Diego."
