Free Cone Day: How To Get A Free Cone At Ben & Jerry's In San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA — Let's all scream for free ice cream because Tuesday is Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry's scoop shops around the world, including in San Diego.

In San Diego, Ben & Jerry's is giving away free scoops for an even sweeter cause. San Diegans can get a free ice cream scoop of any flavor from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. April 16 at Ben & Jerry's at Seaport Village.

All donations raised will support Monarch School Project, a nonprofit that provides youth and their families experiencing homelessness with academic and social growth, emotional support and life skills designed to help them succeed.

"Thank you to Ben & Jerry's at Seaport Village for its continued partnership," said Afira DeVries, CEO and president of Monarch School.

"As the only school in the nation that serves exclusively unhoused youth and their families, we depend on our community to advance our mission. However, we are only as effective as we are supported," DeVries added. "As the unhoused population nationwide grows, so has a demand for our critical services, and with generous support of the community, we are scaling up our operations to bring the Monarch Model to other schools and organizations to help break the cycle of homelessness."

All proceeds generated from donation jars at the scoop shop at 859 A West Harbor Drive will support Monarch School Project's initiatives.
