Halloween DUI Patrols Slated In San Diego County
San Diego County Sheriff's Department is conducting increased DUI patrols Oct. 31 in communities within the jurisdiction of the department.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – In an effort to keep trick-or-treaters of all ages safe this Halloween, sheriff's deputies are getting drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs off San Diego County's streets.
San Diego County Sheriff's Department is conducting increased DUI patrols Oct. 31 in communities within the jurisdiction of the department.
"Impaired driving puts everyone in danger," Sheriff Bill Gore said. "Do the responsible thing: Don't drink and drive on Halloween or any day."

Sheriff's officials reminded community members to designate a sober driver or plan to use ride share or public transportation to get home safely. Sober rider options for Halloween include the Metropolitan Transit System and North County Transit District.
Halloween DUI patrols are funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
