Hello Kitty Cafe Truck Tour Rolls Into San Diego County This Weekend

The pop-up event will feature edible goodies and limited-edition collectibles.

SAN DIEGO, CA — The popular Hello Kitty Cafe Pop-Up Truck is cruising across the country in 2024 — and the tour is stopping three times in San Diego County.

The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck will stop Saturday at The Shoppes at Carlsbad. Two more visits are planned in the San Diego area, with the tour stopping Feb. 24 at Otay Ranch Town Center in Chula Vista and March 2 at Fashion Valley in San Diego.

The all-pink cafe on wheels will carry exclusive treats and collectibles celebrating all things Hello Kitty. During the pop-up events, fans can purchase edible goodies and limited-edition collectibles, including Hello Kitty-themed apparel, as well as home goods and accessories.

The merchandise list features a Hello Kitty hoodie, T-shirt, canvas tote, cup plush, glass mug, lunchbox, stainless steel thermal bottle, and hand-decorated cookie sets. Only credit and debit cards will be accepted, according to organizers.

This is not the first year Hello Kitty has hit the road. The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck made its debut in October 2014 as part of Sanrio's first food-related venture. To date, two Hello Kitty Cafe trucks have traveled to more than 100 cities across both coasts, according to organizers.

As part of the current tour, the truck will stop in Carlsbad from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at The Shoppes at Carlsbad at 2525 El Camino Real. The truck will be located near the Regal Cinemas and Luna Grill.

The truck will also stop in Chula Vista from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at the covered food pavilion at Otay Ranch Town Center at 2015 Bird Road. The truck will again stop in San Diego from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 2 at Fashion Valley at 7007 Friars Road. The truck will be located near Bloomingdales and Forever 21.
