Incarcerated Man Escapes From San Diego Reentry Program

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities were searching for an incarcerated man who walked away from a community reentry program Friday in San Diego.
As of Monday morning, Quintin G. Wilkerson, 53, remained at large, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation told Patch.
Wilkerson was reported missing at around 12:45 p.m. Friday after an alert was received regarding the removal of an ankle monitor, according to the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Staff initiated an emergency count that confirmed Wilkerson was missing and then launched a search.

Wilkerson was described as a 5-foot-8, 154-pound Black man with a bald head and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black jeans, as well as a black and white shirt with a white logo on the sleeve.
Wilkerson had been housed at the San Diego facility since Jan. 23. He was sentenced to six years for "corporal injury on specific persons resulting in traumatic condition with an enhancement for inflicting great bodily injury involving domestic violence," according to the department.

Anyone who sees Wilkerson or has information about his whereabouts was asked to call 911 or law enforcement.
