Jersey Mike's Subs Opens New Shop In San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA — There's a new Jersey Mike's Subs shop in San Diego.

A new location opened its doors Wednesday on Clairemont Drive. Franchise owners, the Kenny brothers, are celebrating the grand opening with a fundraiser through Sunday to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego's Clairemont Branch.

"We are grateful for the warm welcome we have received from our new neighbors at the Clairemont Drive Jersey Mike's location," franchise owner Kevin Kenny told Patch. Kenny owns the shop with his three brothers. "We invite everyone to come in for a delicious fresh-sliced or fresh-grilled sub sandwich."

The Kenny brothers — Kevin, identical twins David and Patrick, and Chris — grew up four miles away from the original Jersey Mike's Subs in the Jersey Shore community of Point Pleasant and ate there every day. Now they own seven locations in San Diego, three in Orange County and three in Sacramento.

Jersey Mike's Subs has more than 2,500 locations nationwide.

The new San Diego shop is at 4921 A Clairemont Drive. The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
