Man Arrested After Girlfriend Found Dead At San Diego Motel
The woman had "obvious trauma-related injuries," police Lt. Lou Maggi said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A man was arrested on suspicion of murder Friday after his girlfriend was found dead in a San Diego motel room, authorities said.
Officers and paramedics responded to a report of a medical emergency at 1:46 a.m. Friday at Motel 6 San Diego at 2424 Hotel Circle North, where they found the 24-year-old woman dead, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The woman had "obvious trauma-related injuries," police Lt. Lou Maggi said. Her name was withheld pending family notification.

Two men were inside the room, one of which identified himself as the woman's boyfriend. Victor Cruz, a 19-year-old Linda Vista resident, was arrested on suspicion of murder, Maggi said.
"Based on the information gathered thus far, it appears the death is domestic violence-related," Maggi said.
