SAN DIEGO, CA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents should expect warmer temperatures this week, according to the National Weather Service.
"Warmer temperatures are expected this week with some locally breezy Santa Ana winds this morning," NWS Los Angeles forecasters wrote Monday. "The warmest day will be Wednesday with slow cooling the rest of the week along with a return of night and morning low clouds and fog."

In other news, a body was found inside a truck that had overturned and rolled into a ravine; a teen was found dead in a pond; and a man was arrested on suspicion of setting six pre-dawn fires. Also, a man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend and fleeing to Mexico was detained at the U.S. border; and a Mexican senator linked to the cartel was arrested in San Diego.
Plus, California Secretary of State Shirley Weber urged Southern California voters and residents across the rest of the state to register to vote by Monday for the June 2 primary election and to track their mail ballots online. All active registered voters in California will receive a vote-by-mail ballot for the election, Weber said.
