Motorcyclist Suffers Major Injuries In Collision In San Diego
A man was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a car in a head-on crash.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 31-year-old man was seriously injured Tuesday when the black 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle he was riding was struck by a black 2005 Mercedes-Benz E320 in a head-on collision Tuesday in San Diego.
San Diego Police Department officers were called at 2:13 p.m. to Catalina Boulevard and Talbot Street where in the course of their investigation they learned the motorcyclist was heading south on Catalina Boulevard and the 52-year-old woman was driving the Mercedes-Benz north on the boulevard when they arrived at the intersection of Catalina Boulevard and Talbot Street, both with green traffic lights, said Officer Robert Buttle.
At some point the Mercedes-Benz turned left into the path of the motorcycle, causing the collision, police said.

The motorcyclist suffered a sustained a pelvic fracture, closed fractures to both legs, an 8-inch laceration to his right thigh and abrasions throughout his body, Buttle said. The woman sustained a fractured left wrist.
Alcohol was not a factor in the collision, Buttle said.
