Motorcyclist Suffers Major Injuries In Escondido Crash

ESCONDIDO, CA — A motorcyclist suffered what were described by police as major injuries in a crash on the 15 Freeway in Escondido.

The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 10:26 p.m. Sunday on the northbound 15 Freeway near Valley Parkway.

Witnesses told the CHP the motorcycle crashed into the rear of a white van and the vehicles and rider were in the middle lane.

The CHP shut down lanes 3, 4 and 5 for about 12 minutes while moving the vehicles to the right shoulder. The injured motorcyclist was taken by paramedics to Palomar Medical Center.
