1. 3 Rescued Beluga Whales Arrive At SeaWorld San Diego (patch.com) — San Diego residents are welcoming three rescued beluga whales to SeaWorld San Diego, where veterinarians and animal care teams will closely monitor their adjustment and behavior. The newcomers will eventually join three existing belugas in the park's Wild Arctic habitat, as part of a broader international effort relocating whales from a closed Canadian marine park.

Tiny Chef, Big Show: Le Petit Chef Serves Up Immersive Dining In San Diego (patch.com) — San Diegans can book an immersive Le Petit Chef dinner at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, where 3D projections turn the table into a playful culinary stage. 3. Margaritaville's Day Of Service To Bring Music, Giving To Downtown San Diego (patch.com) — Downtown San Diego residents can join Margaritaville Hotel's free Day of Service on Sept. 4, supporting the San Diego Music Foundation with live music, tropical drinks and a silent auction. The Gaslamp Quarter rooftop event, part of a city-recognized Margaritaville San Diego Day of Service, aims to celebrate Jimmy Buffett's legacy while investing in local youth music education and the city's music culture.
   

4. Woman Arrested In Fatal Stabbing Of Partner In San Diego (patch.com) — San Diego police arrested a 33-year-old woman on suspicion of murdering her partner after a fatal stabbing at their Corridor neighborhood home. Officers found the man mortally wounded despite lifesaving efforts, and investigators later coordinated with San Diego Unified School Police to ensure the safety of the couple's young child, who was at school during the incident.
   

5. San Diego sees progress getting people off the streets. But what comes next? (spectrumnews1.com) — San Diego is expanding shelter options and seeing a second straight yearly drop in unsheltered homelessness, but leaders say the real test is creating enough permanent housing. New beds at Rachel's Promise and safe sleeping sites are helping people like Kimberly Edmonds move off the streets, even as the city wrestles with how long it takes to secure lasting homes.
