SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA — As the weekend wraps up, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents should know that strong Santa Ana winds are expected to continue Monday after gusty winds reached more than 90 mph and brought power outages over the weekend to parts of Southern California.

"Santa Ana winds are expected to continue through Monday, with strong to damaging winds across wind-prone areas of Los Angeles and Ventura counties, along with significant fire-weather conditions," NWS Los Angeles wrote Sunday.

In other news, Matthew Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing on "Friends," died in an apparent drowning. He was 54.

Another lawsuit was filed against the company that owns a San Diego restaurant recently linked to at least 17 confirmed or probable cases of E. coli.

A man was detained after deputies responding to a child abuse call in Los Angeles County discovered two of his children fatally wounded and two others with injuries that required hospitalization, authorities said.

Two teenagers were killed in a shooting at a "loud house party" in San Diego County, police said.

Plus, the USNS Robert F. Kennedy was christened and launched in San Diego in front of a gathering of dignitaries that included several of the former senator and attorney general's 11 children.
