San Diego Restaurant Named Among 50 Best In North America

SAN DIEGO, CA — A San Diego fine-dining restaurant has earned a spot on the 2026 North America's 50 Best Restaurants list, joining nine other California establishments recognized for culinary excellence.

Addison by William Bradley ranked No. 31, making it the only San Diego restaurant included on the annual list. The restaurant is located at Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego.

"Each dish is carefully conceived to reflect California's unique climate, cultural diversity and coastal proximity, resulting in a style of cooking that feels firmly rooted in place — and quite unlike anything found elsewhere," the list states.

A panel of 300 chefs, restaurateurs, food writers and industry experts decided on the winners. They considered quality of food, service, surroundings, atmosphere, social impact and price.

The list includes 50 restaurants across North America, including 36 in the U.S. and 14 in Canada. California's highest-ranked restaurant was SingleThread in Healdsburg at No. 16. Chicago-based Smyth topped the overall list.
