SD Humane Society Waives Adoption Fees To Make Space At Shelters
San Diego Humane Society is waiving adoption fees for adult dogs, cats 7 months and older, and small pets through July 31.

SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego Humane Society is waiving pet adoption fees in an effort to make space at its shelters.
The nonprofit organization is running low on space, especially for large dogs, after taking in more than 275 stray pets following the Fourth of July.
"We currently have more than 1,700 companion animals in our care and more than 600 of them are available for adoption — just waiting to give and receive love," said Jessica Des Lauriers, chief operating officer of San Diego Humane Society.

"While we are here to help animals and the people who love them, we are low on space to house these pets and could really use the community's support. If you're able to adopt a pet, that adoption will make a difference for so many other animals in need."
To encourage adoptions, the organization is waiving adoption fees for adult dogs, cats 7 months and older, and small pets through July 31.
