See Smoke? Controlled Burn Being Conducted In San Diego County
Residents should expect to see and smell smoke in the Campo area, according to Cal Fire.

CAMPO, CA — Firefighters are conducting a brush-clearing controlled burn Tuesday in the Campo area of San Diego County.
A controlled burn, also known as a prescribed fire, aims to reduce vegetation and risk from wildfire.
Smoke from the blaze, which is just north of the U.S.-Mexico border, will be visible throughout the day in southern San Diego County, according to Cal Fire.
