VA financing is now available at Strata, as well as Shea’s other two new home neighborhoods in The Village of Escaya – Seville and Sierra.
“We are pleased to be working with a number of military families who can take advantage of zero-down-payment VA financing,” said Vanessa Linn, vice president of sales and marketing for Shea Homes, who noted that VA loans are guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

“VA financing presents a tremendous opportunity for entry-level or first time move-up buyers trying to break in to the San Diego housing market,” added Linn. “Our Shea representatives are well versed in the intricacies of these loans and can help home shoppers understand their options.”

With four to five bedrooms and three baths, ranging up to 2,949 square feet, Seville at The Village of Escaya is priced from the low $600,000s.
The recently opened Village of Escaya will ultimately include a neighborhood park, which will feature a kids’ jungle gym, barbecue, amphitheater, soccer practice fields, walking paths and an on-leash dog park.
All three Shea neighborhoods at The Village of Escaya lie within the Chula Vista Elementary School District for grades K-6, and Sweetwater Union High School District for grades 7-12. These districts advise the schools initially available to the community: Wolf Canyon Elementary School, Rancho Del Rey Middle School, and Otay Ranch High School.
