Truck Driver Pulls Man From Burning Sedan On I-15 In Miramar Area
The vehicle crashed into a guardrail and burst into flames, the California Highway Patrol reported.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A FedEx driver pulled a man away from a burning vehicle Wednesday on southbound Interstate 15 in the Miramar area, authorities said.
The vehicle crashed into a guardrail at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday and burst into flames, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, a 28-year-old San Diego man was driving a Toyota sedan south on I-15, north of state Route 52, when "for reasons still under investigation, the Toyota veered to the right and left the roadway, impacting a metal guard rail."

Although the man was able to get out of the vehicle, the FedEx driver stopped and pulled him away from it, CHP said.
The sedan driver was taken to a hospital with major injuries. According to the CHP, "drugs and/or alcohol were determined to not be a factor in this collision."

Authorities had multiple highway lanes closed for one hour to facilitate an on-scene investigation, according to the CHP.
