Westmont at San Miguel Ranch (SMR) has been selected as one of the winners of the 2022 iN2L + LifeLoop Communities That Shine Awards for their amazing work as power users and advocates of iN2L/LifeLoop communication technology. The team excelled with Westmont’s Navigator Memory Enrichment Program which is designed to fit the needs and abilities of people who are experiencing memory loss. With iN2L + LifeLoop’s state-of-the-art technology, they were able to provide personal and meaningful content to our residents interactively and they shared these richer experiences with their residents’ families. The team also used the attendance and photo-sharing features with the families to offer a window into the community so that they could see firsthand all the fulfilling programs and events.

According to iN2L + LifeLoop CEO, Navin Gupta, “Westmont at San Miguel Ranch was chosen as they stood out for their innovative use of this new technology to enhance the lives of seniors and the staff.” The staff at Westmont SMR were inspired to use the iN2L + LifeLoop technology because the company has a person-centered engagement, family connection, and memory care focus.

“In 2022, when families were able to reunite after the pandemic there was an increased demand to not only maintain greater contact but to also increase the ways in which they felt connected to their loved one. Having technology such as iN2L + LifeLoop we had the tools to give families the peace of mind that they were seeking. And, to show how much fun we were having along the way,” said Michelle Morales, Regional Director of Lifestyles & Memory Care Programs at Westmont Senior Living, which is headquartered in La Jolla.
