SAN DIEGO, CA — Patch reader and local photographer Bob Thompson captured this photo on June 16 at Windansea Beach.

"Entrancing tendrils of sea spray reach toward the heavens," Thompson said. "The marine layer burned off at 10 a.m., gracing us with bright light for some beach photography."
