Woman Arrested For Felony Hit-And-Run Crash In San Diego
A 52 year-old woman was in custody on suspicion of striking and killing an 82-year-old man in the Rolando Village neighborhood, police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 52 year-old woman was in custody Friday after allegedly striking and killing an 82-year-old man in the Rolando Village neighborhood of San Diego.
Officers from the San Diego Police Department were called at 2:55 p.m. Thursday to the 4400 block of College Avenue where the woman was driving a Cadillac SRX northbound on College Avenue, where she made an unsafe turn to the right and struck the bicyclist with the right front of her car, said Officer Robert Heims.
The bicyclist sustained several serious injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

The driver left the scene but after approximately one hour returned and was arrested by officers for felony hit-and-run, Heims said.
According to police, driving under the influence was not a factor in the collision.
