• Good Samaritans rush to rescue pilot after Pacoima small plane crash (foxla.com) — A small plane crashed late Monday morning along San Fernando Road in Pacoima, downing high-voltage lines, cutting power and snarling traffic for nearby neighborhoods. Good Samaritans pulled the elderly pilot from the flipped Cessna before firefighters arrived. The crash has renewed long-running debate over Whiteman Airport’s safety and its impact on surrounding communities in the northeast Valley.
