• America's largest public pool makes a splash as Hansen Dam welcomes families back for summer (dailynews.com) — Families from San Fernando and the Northeast Valley can cool off this summer at Hansen Dam Aquatic Center in Lake View Terrace, home to the nation’s largest public pool and affordable admission starting July 1. The center runs daily through September, offers a Junior Lifeguard program, and will host a June 28 drone-show celebration plus a FIFA World Cup Fan Zone July 2–5. 
• Senator Caroline Menjivar Announces the 4th Annual San Fernando Valley Pride March & Festival Our Ground to Hold (ca.gov) — San Fernando Valley residents are invited to a free Pride march and festival in Van Nuys on June 27, with a rally at Van Nuys Boulevard and Gault Street followed by a march to the Van Nuys Civic Center. Senator Caroline Menjivar, Mayor Karen Bass and Supervisor Lindsey Horvath are backing the event, which will feature resources, entertainment, food trucks and family-friendly activities focused on LGBTQ+ visibility and support.
