SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should expect temperatures to stay around normal for this time of year during the week, according to the National Weather Service.
"Gustier, dry offshore winds across the Vaca Range and Altamont Pass tonight into Monday," NWS San Francisco forecasters wrote Sunday. "Cooling trend through mid-week."
In other news, a judge ordered ICE to halt construction on a facility many local officials suspect may be used as a detention center; firefighters helped rescue a person who fell several dozen feet off a cliff; and one person was found dead in a house fire.
Also, a high school football coach was arrested after his phone was discovered recording students while they were changing in a locker room; two people were accused of trying to sell a multimillion dollar house they did not own; and several law enforcement agencies worked together to track down a driver suspected of fleeing police and driving at high speeds across counties.
Plus, the U.S. Department of Agriculture is providing $4 million in emergency funding to help California fight the spread of the invasive glassy-winged sharpshooter, which threatens the state's agriculture industry.
