Officers and paramedics tried to save him, but he died at a local hospital, and homicide detectives are now leading the investigation while asking anyone with information to call the SFPD tip line anonymously.
2. SF Political Candidate Accused Of Sexual Assault Drops Out Of Race (patch.com) — San Francisco voters in District 8 are seeing a major shakeup after supervisor candidate Manny Yekutiel exited the race following multiple sexual assault accusations he denies but says prompted reflection. With Mayor Daniel Lurie and other supporters pulling endorsements, Yekutiel says he'll step back to work on himself while remaining committed to improving San Francisco, leaving three other candidates now vying for the seat.
3. ICE releases San Francisco lawmaker's staffer after weeks in detention (sfchronicle.com) — A San Francisco state Assembly staffer who helps local residents access services has been released from ICE detention in Nevada after more than two weeks in custody. Assemblymember Catherine Stefani and Mayor Daniel Lurie had urged his release, and supporters are now being directed to help with his ongoing immigration-related legal expenses.
4. Motor City Machine Guns return to the independents for a rare matchup (wrestling-world.com) — San Francisco wrestling fans can see the Motor City Machine Guns reunite for a rare independent appearance at West Coast Pro on November 13, facing the Crush Boys. The matchup brings AEW-contracted veterans into a local ring, giving rising talents Titus Alexander and Chazz "Starboy" Hall a high-profile test in front of a hometown-style crowd.
