Shooting In San Francisco Leaves 1 Dead: SFPD
San Francisco police say anyone with information about the fatal shooting should contact their department.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Police say they're investigating a shooting in San Francisco Monday afternoon that left a man dead.
There were no details available about what led up to the shooting. Officers found a man with at least one gunshot wound just after 5 p.m. in the 1100 block of Thomas Avenue in the city's Bayview District.
"Officers rendered aid and paramedics arrived on scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries," police said. "Despite the lifesaving efforts of the medical staff the victim succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased in the hospital."

Homicide detectives are leading the investigation, police said.
San Francisco police ask that anyone with information about the fatal shooting should contact their department at 415-575-4444. Callers may remain anonymous, police said.
