The roundup also covers fatal crashes, stabbings, fires, rescues and an officer-involved shooting across San Diego County.
   

4. La Mesa City Council votes 5-0 approving e-bike safety pilot program (eastcountymagazine.org) — San Marcos is among several San Diego County cities tightening enforcement on youth e-bike use under a regional safety pilot program. La Mesa just approved strict age limits, fines, and education requirements, signaling rules that could influence how similar measures play out in San Marcos.
