Access is largely restored, but CSUSM users are still urged to be cautious about phishing attempts and suspicious messages as the company behind Canvas works to secure affected accounts.

San Marcos directs more than $1 million federal grant to food programs, seniors and parks (10news.com) — San Marcos is directing more than $1 million in new federal grant money toward weekend food for local students, upgrades at a senior center, and improvements at Richmar Park. CFA Opposes CSU Plans to Continue Reallocating Funding Away from Campuses (calfac.org) — CSU San Marcos is among the campuses above enrollment targets that could benefit as CSU leaders shift millions in state funding toward higher-enrollment schools. Faculty union CFA is pushing back, warning that this redistribution may weaken smaller campuses and distort per-student costs as budget decisions unfold ahead of the governor’s May revise.
