• One man dead, another injured after ATV plunges 300 feet in Valley Center (cbs8.com) — Emergency crews from San Pasqual Fire helped rescue two men after their ATV plunged about 300 feet down a steep embankment near Lake Wohlford Road in Valley Center, killing the 45-year-old driver and seriously injuring a 29-year-old passenger. The nighttime crash prompted a multi-agency response and helicopter hoists to Palomar Hospital, where the driver later died and the passenger is expected to survive.
