Another Indecent Exposure Incident Reported in San Anselmo

A man was again reported to be fondling himself in a vehicle.

SAN ANSELMO, CA -- The Central Marin Police Authority says it's investigating an indecent exposure incident that occurred the afternoon of Nov. 28, the second crime of this nature reported in the city within the past 10 days.

In the most recent case, a 13 year-old female says she was walking on Saunders Avenue to a friend’s house around 4 pm when a man in a car drove up from behind her, stopped, and asked for directions. She pointed toward downtown San Anselmo and then saw that he was exposing his genitals and fondling himself. She immediately ran to her friend’s house and they notified police.

The suspect's described as an adult male, possibly Hispanic, and was driving a small, older model white car. The car was last seen on Saunders Avenue and left in an unknown direction. The area was searched but the suspect vehicle was not located.

This crime is similar to one that occurred on Nov. 18 on Broadmoor Avenue. In that incident, two young girls were approached by a man in a silver car asking directions. He was exposing himself and appeared to be masturbating.

Patrols in the area are being increased and the cases are under active investigation. The Central Marin Police Authority is reminding people to call 911 if you observe a suspicious person or vehicle.
