A front heading to Bay Area from Canada may bring the coldest temperatures of the season by Wednesday night.

Temperatures Sunday and Sunday night were expected to be in the 50s with lows reaching the 40s.

Freezing temperatures are possible in some areas late Wednesday night, mainly in inland valleys, according to the National Weather Service.
Patchy frost could occur close to the coast by early Thursday morning.
