Children for Change - Supporting Young Marin Changemakers

Children for Change

Children for Change (C4C), is a non-profit founded in Marin that teaches over 1,000 students each week with its mission: to empower youth to become global change-makers with the knowledge, confidence and empathy to make a positive impact in their world. Our K-8 students come to Children for Change class each week just like art or music to learn about topics like the Environment, Food Justice, and Housing Disparity, all through the lens of being an engaged community member. Through Advocacy, Activism, and Educating others, students stand up for issues that are important to them through hands-on projects. The curriculum is paired with carefully curated volunteer and advocacy experiences with our 20+ partner organizations (i.e. Homeward Bound, St. Vinnies, Richardson Bay Audubon, Bloom Marin, Multicultural Center of Marin, and more).

Charity Bridge Fund was created to respond to a growing crisis in the nonprofit sector: severe cuts to government funding. We aim to bridge those gaps by connecting donors directly to nonprofits who are impacted by federal funding cuts. We provide clarity on what’s most urgent, spotlight the effect of these cuts, and illustrate the long-term impacts to society, making giving more transparent, immediate, and direct—ultimately enhancing impact. After traveling the world to study and work with designers &amp; architects, we’ve absorbed culture and style in a way that most painters never can. Our years spent abroad led us to become incredibly expert craftsmen, and now we’re bringing our painting experience back to the Bay area. Karroll Hirn: Karoll is the heart and soul behind each and every project. You’ll never meet someone who is more personally invested in every job she takes on. Julian Accuardi: Julian started this team as a new company in 2002, and since then has worked on hundreds of residential, multi-unit, and commercial projects.
