DUI Checkpoint Canceled In Marin County

A DUI sobriety ​and driver license safety checkpoint scheduled for Friday has been canceled, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The California Highway Patrol has canceled a DUI sobriety and driver license safety checkpoint scheduled for Friday. According to officials, the checkpoint is in the process of being rescheduled. No other details have been released.


MARIN COUNTY, CA – The California Highway Patrol is conducting a DUI sobriety and driver license safety checkpoint on Friday. The checkpoint is scheduled somewhere within the unincorporated area of Marin County, according to the CHP Marin office.

During the Friday checkpoint, officers will be on the lookout for drivers with signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment. Officers will also check for valid licensing.

No other details, including an exact time and location for the checkpoint, have been released.

The checkpoint is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
