Are the Foods You're Eating Affecting Your Brain?

  • Learning and behavior disorders, headaches, seizures and psychiatric conditions are linked by research to gluten--a protein component of wheat and other grains. For some people, brain dysfunction is the only symptom of sensitivity to gluten. Neurologist Julie Griffith, MD, will explore these symptoms and other neurological manifestations of sensitivity to gluten.

Sponsored by the Gluten Intolerance Group of Marin, Dr. Griffith’s talk is titled How Gluten Can Affect the Brain: From Seizures and Headaches to Anxiety and Inattention.  The talk is free and the public is invited.

Dr. Griffith specializes in gut/brain/immune dysfunction and neuropsychiatry at her San Rafael practice. An internationally recognized expert in neurobiology, Dr. Griffith completed a pediatric residency at UCSF, a neurology residency at Harvard and a behavioral neurology fellowship at Harvard Children's Hospital.
