Artemis Circle is a group for pre and early-adolescent girls which sets out to shore up girls’ inner resources before the pressures of modern adolescence begin. The group will gather in Marin open spaces and includes hiking, primitive nature/survival skills, sharing in a safe circle of peers, nature-themed games, meditation and visualization. Participants will increase their independence, their physical strength and stamina, and their connection to peers, nature and themselves. The group is led by Eileen Cohune Brown, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and lifelong outdoorswoman who is inspired to share her love of nature with girls.
