Herb Walk - Deer Park in Fairfax

Interested in learning more about the abundance of medicinal plants that grow in your own backyard? Want to learn more about how to identify wild foods? Join us for a fun-filled educational hike in Deer Park. We’ll discuss how native peoples used these plants for food, shelter and medicine, and how they are used by herbalists today. We’ll talk about how to identify plants and what distinguishes medicinals and edibles from their poisonous cousins. This class is for people of all ages. Families welcome. The pace is slow and the walk is very easy.

We’ll meet at Gathering Thyme at 10am sharp and carpool to Deer Park.
Pre-registration required. Cost is $20.
