Topic:
Understanding and clearing the "Tsa" (or physical energy channels) is valuable to all Dharma practitioners and particularly useful to those
in the energetic or healing arts. In this teaching, Lama Lena explains and demonstrates preliminary practices in Tibetan yoga that benefit channel work.
As a teacher and yogini, Lama Lena has the experience and qualifications to transmit these practices. As a licensed acupuncturist, she is uniquely able to relate these yogas to the Chinese perspective of meridians. These experiential yogas help the practitioner to transcend intellectual formations and achieve direct realization of the nature of Mind.
_________
With nearly 40 years of dharma study and practice, Lama Lena under the tutelage of her root teacher, Venerable Wangdor Rinpoche, spent seven years in retreat in a small cave above Tso Pema - home of the Holy Caves of Guru Rinpoche. She is known to many as a teacher of Direct Mind Perception Meditation. Others may first have met her during the nearly 30 years she has traveled with and translated for Wangdor Rinpoche, whose lineage in both Dzogchen and Chagchen she holds.
She has also studied Chinese medicine and, in 2005, left a private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area to return to Tso Pema, India to assist Wangdor Rinpoche, where she currently lives on the mountain above Lotus Lake. When not traveling, teaching or translating, she
provides medical assistance to the Tibetan refugee community as well as the local Indian villagers and mountain tribes people.
