The Marin Employment Connection (MEC) is pleased to announce the receipt of additional funding for training (serving Marin,  Sonoma, Solano and Napa counties) that encompasses a broad look at industries in the green economy, focusing on: 1) green business services 2) renewable energy (solar PV design/installation) 3) clean transportation (clean vehicle technology)  4) water conservation/landscaping  5) energy efficiency  6) green building   

Businesses in the green sector look for employees who can speak and understand  the language of sustainability. Those who  possess this knowledge are far ahead of other job seekers.   Get the competitive edge! Foundational skills will put you on the path to success.  

To help you clarify what your options are you begin with a Green Career Exploration Workshop with access to web resources designed to jump start your green career search.  Technical and vocational   trainings will be offered that lead to certifications in Environmental Literacy, CALGreen, Certified Green Building Professional, Water Efficient Landscaping, and  others.
